I cannot hit any woods off the tee. I can use irons off the tee with 98% success. When i use a 1 , 3 wood off the tee everthing goes out the window. WHAT CAN I DO.????????????????

I'm having the same problem too. The par 3 holes that I tee off with an iron, I can usually get on (or if not near) the green, but as soon as I go off on a par 4 or 5 with my driver etc tend to go all over the place.

I have a quite a bad habit of slicing my woods, so I compensate by aiming slightly left, but sods law the minute I go too far left, I actually catch one straight and end up in the rough on the other f**king side Mad .

I've seen a pro and he reckons I'm turning my shoulders too early. I've tried slowing them down, but it takes anything up to about 50yrds off my drives and finding mid-fairway hazzards.

Can anyone else please come up with some suggestions?

Ive started using a recovery club off the TEE. I was told by a low handicapper that its the best way to ease yourself into woods off the Tee. I tell u what it only works,.......i have been hitting the recovery club well off the Tee and now i have just started using a 3 wood.....The big boy will be out soon....give it a go let me know how u get on..

Hi SoupDragon

I am now hitting a driver off the tee. This is all down to me starting with a Recov Club and working my way up to a Driver. One thing i was told was to slow the swing down untill i was hitting the ball consistently.

GREAT..................
